Myanmar Trekking - Hsipaw Area (Soft to Medium Hard Trekking)

Trekking in Hsipaw : Visiting Hsipaw is also a must for those who love trekking in Myanmar. Besides trekking holidays, hearing the stories of Shan Royalty who lived and ruled at Hsipaw region is very interesting, one book we'd like to recommend is 'Twilight Over Burma' written by the elegant lady Inge Sargent, the Shan Princess who married Sao Kyar Sai, the then Shan Sao Phwar of Hsipaw Haw or Palace. You should not fail to see the old Shan Palace of them while in Hsipaw.

Hsipaw Trekking Program 3 Days / 2 Nights

Day 1: Hsipaw – Par Phate – Nar Mon – Man Pyit – Pang Kang (-/L/D)

Today we begin the day with a walk from the hotel to the foot of the mountains  on the flat path for an hour by passing through the waterfall, natural hot spring and the village Par Phate, Shan village. After visiting Par Phate, we will start to trek on the mountains and keep walking to Nar Mon which is also Shan Village. Then proceed to other Shan village, Man Pyit and along the village, see the marvellous scenery of the countryside and tea plantation.  On these mountain ranges, we will see the small different ethnic minorities of Shan which are Gold Palaung, Silver Palaung and Pearl Palaung from time to time. The color of the belts made of the bamboo and a type of long grass mentions the differences of Gold, Silver or Pearl. Then we will keep walking to the Gold Palaung village, Pang Kang where we are going to sleep. We will take night stop at Pang Kang.

Lunch and Dinner would be served with home-cook- food.

Note: You can join the local cook in style of Casual Cooking Class while preparing meals!

And some old Palaung lady, they do weaving the cotton bags for their own use. Afterwards we will hit the road again for Man Loung which is Silver Palaung village. When we go into the village will be in the evening, the time of returning home of the local people and we will walk in the village together with the local people and we can even converse with them. And if you are interested in having a bath in local way, you can do together with the local people in public area (you must have the longyi(sarong)). All the local houses are stilted with the vegetable garden at front and behind the houses.  Then we will stay for the night at the local house.
